St. Lucia Changes Entry Requirements with Digital Embarkation Form

St. Lucia is making some changes for its inbound visitors.

Effective immediately, St. Lucia is ditching the paper Embarkation/Disembarkation (ED) form in favor of an electronic one, asking passengers to fill it out online prior to arrival on the island. The ED asks for customs, immigration, and health information for each passenger.

St. Lucia will require all passengers to fill out the electronic ED form—if passengers fail to do it, they’ll be asked to fill out the written form when they arrive. St. Lucia, which has tested the system at George F.L. Charles Airport and at the Hewanorra International Airport, said it was making the move to advance its “seamless entry process.”

“We continuously strive to secure our borders and provide quality service to travelers at our points of entry while protecting the safety and security of our nationals, visitors, and business associates with a reliable immigration system. In advancing our seamless entry process, the written form will be phased out as of April 12, 2023,” said Sean Alexander, assistant superintendent in charge of the Department of Immigration.

The form can be filled out via the St. Lucia Tourism Authority website.

St. Lucia is currently enjoying a strong fix months, returning to pre-COVID numbers with new properties and the return of its festivals coming this summer. The destination is also in the process of bringing a new Planet Hollywood to the Rodney Bay area.
