The Setai Hotels, a luxury hospitality brand with hotels in Miami and the Middle East, will open its first Caribbean property, The Setai St. Maarten, in 2028.

Construction on the new resort is now underway in partnership with Toronto-based Altree Developments, a leader in international real estate. When completed, The Setai St. Maarten will offer 205 rooms and private villas along the coast of Indigo Bay.

“We are thrilled to bring The Setai to the shores of St. Maarten, a destination that perfectly complements our vision of timeless luxury and cultural inspiration,” said the Nakash Family, owners of The Setai. “This project marks an exciting next chapter for our brand as we continue to grow globally, always guided by the principles of authenticity, sophistication, and unparalleled guest experience.”

The Setai St. Maarten will feature a mix of guest and residential accommodations. It will also offer three pools, a beach club with dedicated cabanas and butler service, and a 30,000-square-foot spa.

For families and active travelers, there will be tennis and pickleball courts, on-beach water sports, a children’s playroom, childcare programs, and access to a protected nature reserve. Dining options will include five different culinary concepts, such as Ocean Grill Beach Club and Jaya, both inspired by restaurants at the existing The Setai, Miami Beach.

Sales inquiries for the new resort can be directed to the property’s sales representatives, Anne-Wytske Hoekstra and Shirley van der Borden.
