A nationwide strike by Greece’s public sector union, ADEDY, has shut down Athens Airport on Thursday.
Air traffic controllers from the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority are participating in the strike, which is taking place to protest the government’s pension reform plans.
All commercial flights scheduled to arrive or depart from Athens International on Thursday have been cancelled.
The strike is scheduled to end Friday morning.
