With some of the largest expansions in theme-park history and a year packed with new sporting venues and events, Orlando is refreshing its offerings for travelers of all kinds. Here are a dozen new things to visit and do in 2017 from Visit Orlando:
Attractions
The Volcano Bay water park opens June 1 at Universal Orlando Resort.
A new ride, Miss Fortune Falls at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, introduces a new family-style raft ride.
This summer, SeaWorld Orlando introduces Electric Ocean, a new end-of-day light spectacular.
LEGOLAND Florida Resort will open its Beach Retreat.
Sports
Orlando will host the NFL Pro Bowl game at the Camping World Stadium, Jan. 29, 2017, including accessible team practices, youth football and family fun activities.
Orlando’s Amway Center welcomes the 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship on March 16 & 18.
The United States Tennis Association’s new state-of-the-art headquarters facility opens in January, featuring more than 100 courts.

Downtown Orlando’s new 54-room Delaney Hotel opens by late spring 2017.
The 187-room Margaritaville Resort Orlando, is scheduled to open in late 2017, including 1,000 Margaritaville-themed vacation homes and 300 timeshare units, along with a new dining and entertainment district and 12-acre water park.

Disney Springs adds The Edison, a 1920s-era electric-company-themed restaurant with live entertainment, classic American food and craft cocktails.
Planet Hollywood Observatory features a Guy Fieri sandwich menu and Wine Bar George, the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in Florida.
Circo Orlando, part of the Le Cirque Restaurant brand, is slated to open on International Drive in mid-2017, offering high-end Italian cuisine and rooftop views.
