Wellness Trend Vitamin IV Infusions Coming to The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

After a long night out on the strip, Las Vegas visitors who are looking to the alleviate the ailments of overindulgence can head to the new spa at The Cosmopolitan.

Opening this spring, the REVIV IV Wellness Spa will offer IV therapies and booster shots to treat a variety of common ailments including dehydration, inflammation, and vitamin deficiencies, from the comfort of an upscale spa.

Several IVs will be offered, one for recovering from hangovers, colds and flu-like symptoms, and allergies; another with glutathione and vitamin C for radiant skin; and a “megaboost” with vitamin B12, antioxidants, nutrients, minerals and electrolytes. Four booster shots that can be taken alone or in conjunction with any of the IV treatments will also be offered.

In addition to its signature IV wellness therapy, REVIV at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will also offer full-body messages chairs, private and group treatment areas complete with televisions and iPads, and aromatherapy. Treatments will be available in either a private treatment room onsite or in-room for guests staying at the hotel.

Intravenous infusions replenish fluids and essential elements like vitamins, electrolytes and antioxidants, which can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. While the scientific community points to the lack of evidence to prove these claims, health junkies and celebrities have been flocking to the treatments for everything from jet lag to dehydration.

Drip Doctors, an IV vitamin therapy center in downtown Los Angeles, treats clientele from the likes of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, to Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Founder Dr. Jamila Sozahdah told the media outlet “[this] will give you energy, mental clarity, immune support, it balances you inside out.”

The trend is intriguing, but it is important to remember to seek out a licensed professional to administer the drip. REVIV, for example, was founded by a group of emergency room physicians. It has now grown to 45 locations, and the newest one will be its third in Las Vegas.
