Miraval The Red Sea has just opened on Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island, marking Miraval Resorts & Spas’ first property outside the United States.
The wellness-forward Miraval brand, under Hyatt, has four U.S. resorts – Miraval Arizona, Miraval Austin in Texas, Miraval Berkshires in Massachusetts, and Miraval Life in Balance Spa Aviara in California – and now debuts globally.
Set within the destination’s forest area, the adult-only resort’s 180 guestrooms, suites and villas are woven into the landscape’s mangroves and lagoons. The entire property is rooted in Miraval’s long-held immersive wellness and mindfulness philosophy, established when Miraval Arizona first opened in Tucson in 1995.
Miraval The Red Sea boasts a 40,000-square-foot spa with 39 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms. It is now the largest dedicated spa on Shura Island, the heart of the rapidly emerging tourist destination of The Red Sea.
The new resort offers several food and beverage venues, such as the signature restaurant, Rosemary, which serves plant-forward dishes. There is also Coral Cove and Palm Court Café for all-day dining, as well as the Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen for culinary workshops and more immersive dining experiences.
Guests can also arrange many kinds of experiences with the resort’s dedicated Experience Planners team. These include cultural activities like guided stargazing and Arabic calligraphy, outdoor adventures like ziplining and kayaking, and more.
