Hotel Riu Palace Mexico Unveils Renovations, Addition of Elite Club

RIU Hotels & Resorts has just unveiled major renovations, including the addition of Elite Club, at Hotel Riu Palace Mexico. 

This past summer, the hotel brand rolled out the Elite Club room category and services, as well as full refreshes, at Hotel Riu Palace Aruba and Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula in Cancun.  

Now, it is time for Playa del Carmen’s Hotel Riu Palace Mexico, which was the very-first Riu Palace property to open in Mexico in 1999.  

The transformation has touched the Adults Only by RIU hotel’s guest rooms, lobby and public spaces, restaurants, and bars. Notably, 56 of the top rooms have been reserved in the new Elite Club category, and 30 of those have private pools. Elite Club guests have a dedicated check-in desk for personalized service, as well as their own restaurant, bar, and exclusive infinity pool. 

Hotel Riu Palace Mexico’s main lobby has been redesigned with large glass arches that let in plenty of natural light. The hotel’s 424 guest rooms now feature soft tones, natural wood finishes, and warm lighting, as well as expansive windows leading to private balconies or terraces. 

The hotel also has five swimming pools and a variety of different restaurants and bars throughout. The renovation comes as RIU prepares to open its fourth property in Costa Mujeres, Riu Palace Quintana Roo. RIU currently operates 23 hotels in Mexico, 15 of them in Quintana Roo.
