A Review of the Conrad Complete Experience at Resorts World Las Vegas

As hotel-centric, all-inclusive value propositions continue to spawn in Las Vegas, most of those offerings currently revolve around budget properties and their associated restaurants, casino bars and shows. At Resorts World Las Vegas, however, the recently-introduced Conrad Complete inclusive summer package (which is one of the few all-inclusive options in Las Vegas commissionable to advisors) is the first to operate in the city’s luxury segment. And after a recent, 2-night stay, the inherent value associated with the promotion became evident.

What’s Included

For an additional $150 (above the prevailing room-only rate in any category) per guest, per night, the package includes:

  • Accommodations in a Premium Conrad King or 2 Queen room with Strip view or better
  • Private access to Club 66 VIP Lounge with daily breakfast and evening social hour complemented by a selection of spirits, beer, wine and light snacks.
  • Multi-course lunch at VIVA! by Ray Garcia, Agave Bar & Grill or Wally’s
  • Multi-course dinner at Kusa Nori, FUHU or Wally’s
  • Dedicated resort pool experience with early entry, a reserved area, and domestic beer, bottled water and sodas
  • Complimentary Entry to Zouk Nightclub during operating hours
  • Complimentary valet parking

The current rate calendar for the summer months shows nightly rates for the Conrad Complete package starting at about $504 per couple, (including the $150pp and resort fee), plus tax.

The Experience

As the mid-tier luxury property at three-hotel Resorts World complex, Conrad – typically positioned pricewise between Hilton and the boutique Crockfords – features a lead-in room product that sits squarely in the upscale niche with a minimum of 550 square feet of space, floor-to-ceiling windows, a spa-inspired bathroom with vanity, LED mirror and walk-in shower, and plush sitting area with work desk. Check-in at the gorgeous, expansive lobby is handled quickly and efficiently.

The lunch and dinner menus on the Conrad Complete plan feature three-course, gourmet meals that serve to highlight each outlet’s relative culinary strengths, while the generously-sized portions easily satisfy guests. Each set menu features a choice of 2-3 starters, 2-3 mains and 2-3 dessert options. The following represent the program’s most impressive culinary experiences, based on venue.

Lunch at Wally’s

Southern Californians flock to Wally’s Wine and Spirits for much more than the venue’s renowned liquid pleasures and hand-crafted charcuterie boards. In fact, the handsome outlet’s restaurant dishes match the impressive wine list in terms of quality. For a first course, Paul’s Endive Salad is the perfect composed salad, combining golden Belgian endive, green apple, toasted walnuts and emmental cheese dressed in a honey citron vinaigrette. And its equal in terms of quality and flavor is the Burrata + Tomato appetizer. Of the mains, Wally’s Burger hits the mark with a half-pound of Black Hawk American Wagyu, caramelized onions and fresh-cut fries.

And rarely does a dessert as decadent as Wally’s Chocolat Noisette show up on a lunch menu. The rich, dense, hazelnut-flavored slice, made with Valrhona chocolate and hazelnut praline pushes the meal further into gourmet territory with a side of hazelnut gelato.

Lunch at VIVA! By Ray Garcia

L.A.-born chef Ray Garcia’s elevated Mexican cuisine is on full display at VIVA!, with perfectly-executed dishes that represent Mexico’s finest. As a starter, nothing beats the Coctel de Camaron, an authentic Mexican shrimp cocktail – emblematic of the country’s best seaside restaurants – enhanced with Clamato, avocado and cucumber.

The second course here further epitomizes Garcia’s brand:  Huevos Rancheros, served over a cheese gordita with Ranchero salsa and salsa verde, is an upmarket version of the classic breakfast/brunch dish, while the Tres Leches Cake – appropriately soaked with condensed milk, evaporated milk and heavy cream – is a lunchtime guilty pleasure.

Dinner at Kusa Nori

Diners at Kusa Nori are immediately impressed by the Japanese restaurant’s featured starter – a showy, dry-ice enhanced presentation of Hamachi Carpaccio, treated with micro cilantro flower and a yuzu shoyu fluid gel. Next, guests must make a difficult decision re: the venue’s signature sushi options, with the  crab-and-salmon 3000 LVBLVD and Sin City Joro rolls both sure-fire hits. Three selections from the Robatayaki menu come next, highlighted by the Kurobuta Pork Belly and Okinawa Sweet Potato. Dessert here is the Chocolate Nama Cake, with ginger-infused Cara Cara oranges.

Dinner at Wally’s

The Wally’s dinnertime menu – completely unique from lunch – dazzles with an Artichoke Hummus starter with crispy baby artichokes, pea falafel and fresh, wood oven-roasted pita. Wood Oven Baked Brie is beautifully presented inside a French baguette with truffle honey and shaved truffles, making the first course a difficult decision, somewhat eased by sharing. Main-course choices are even tougher, with a can’t-miss trio of options: The NY Prime Steak Frites is served with a glazed cipollini onion and house-cut fries; Diver Scallops Provencale are treated with a delicious tomato-garlic sauce; and the impossibly rich Truffle Gnocchi is enhanced with a mushroom medley and black truffle. But the Pistachio Profiterole steals the show as the finishing touch with whipped pistachio ganache, pistachio gelato and warm chocolate sauce. Served with a glass of one of Wally’s popular wines, the meal is a gourmet feast.

Club 66

The exclusive Club 66 VIP Lounge, located within the resort’s beautiful 66th-floor Alle Lounge, is an upscale, luxurious oasis with dramatic views of the south and north Strip via full-length windows on opposite sides of the room. The included Continental breakfast is enhanced with hot dishes, while guests at Social Hour enjoy three complimentary well drinks, wines or beers accompanied by a nice snack spread. The uncrowded, serene atmosphere here is a welcome respite from the typical Las Vegas bustle.

Outdoors, Conrad Complete patrons enjoy early resort pool entry and a dedicated lounging area, elevated by the addition of included domestic beers, bottled water and soda.

Additional Amenities

Also included in the package is complimentary entry to Zouk Nightclub during operating days/hours, which currently covers Thurs. – Sat. nights. Complimentary valet parking is added as a convenience for the length of the stay.

The Conrad Complete inclusive summer package, currently the city’s only luxury value proposition that bundles hotel nights, meals, drinks and other amenities, is available for stays through Sept. 8.
