Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts will soon make its Miami Beach debut, as Hilton and Reuben Brothers are partnering to convert a landmark property in the iconic destination.
The former W South Beach is undergoing a transformation and will re-emerge as Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach in winter 2027. That means it will no longer be with Marriott Bonvoy and will transition to the Hilton Honors program. The hotel occupies a prime oceanfront location on Collins Avenue with direct beach access and sweeping Miami skyline and Atlantic Ocean views.
“Miami Beach is one of those rare destinations with a spirit the world immediately recognizes: dynamic, expressive, sunlit and full of life,” said Dino Michael, senior vice president and category head, Hilton Luxury Brands. “For Waldorf Astoria, it is an extraordinary canvas. Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach will bring a new chapter of elegance, one that honors the destination’s cultural energy, coastal beauty and iconic sense of style while creating an experience that feels timeless, deeply personal and entirely of its place.”
Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach will feature 348 renovated suites, all with contemporary, spacious design, ocean views, and balconies. The hotel will also have a fully reimagined lobby, including Peacock Alley, the brand’s signature gathering space. There will also be new food and beverage concepts and an enhanced spa and fitness center.
In addition, renovations will extend to the 48,000-square-foot pool deck, including private cabanas, as well as the event spaces for private celebrations.
This news comes after Hilton also announced Waldorf Astoria Miami, which is expected to open in downtown Miami in 2028.
“With a growing Florida presence that now spans from Orlando to South Florida, our luxury brands continue to resonate with travelers seeking bespoke experiences,” said Danny Hughes, president, Americas, Hilton. “Miami Beach is a globally renowned locale with strong demand for elevated hospitality, and we are proud to partner with Reuben Brothers to introduce Waldorf Astoria in a way that both celebrates the city’s character and sets a new benchmark for modern luxury.”
