Within the Wild Adventure Company has announced the launch of its new destination management company, Alaska Beyond.

Founded in 1982 by Carl and Kirsten Dixon, Within the Wild Adventure Company is a family-owned hospitality group with a portfolio of properties and experiences in Southcentral Alaska. These include Tutka Bay, the exclusive eco‑lodge on Kachemak Bay, and Be The Wild, a non-profit land stewardship project.

Alaska Beyond is a women-led DMC, set to debut in September 2025. Run by Mandy Dixon, Lindsay Mondschein, and Kirsten Dixon, the DMC will design bespoke itineraries and high-end culinary adventures that celebrate Alaska’s untamed beauty. Such experiences could range from nature-based activities like glacier treks to elevated personalized services, like gourmet meals prepared by award-winning chefs.

According to a statement, Alaska Beyond’s pre‑launch partnerships have funneled $128,000 in revenue to local tourism businesses, such as lodges, farms, and artisans.

“Launching Alaska Beyond and creating meaningful career pathways for the next generation proves that mentorship and strategic growth can make a real difference,” said Kirsten Dixon. “We’re committed to deepening our impact, maintaining our standards of exceptional service, and delivering experiences that showcase the very best of Alaska.”
