Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has announced the launch of a new destination management company (DMC) serving South Korea.
A&K boasts the world’s largest network of luxury DMCs. With the addition of the new Seoul-based DMC, A&K has an international network in over 70 offices and 83 countries.
The new DMC will strengthen A&K’s access to South Korea, which is experiencing global interest due to the popularity of its beauty products, cultural exports (like K-pop and K-dramas), and culinary scene.
The Seoul DMC will provide ground services to trade partners such as tour operators, cruise lines, and travel advisors, offering 24-hour support to ensure seamless travel experiences for guests.
The launch also strengthens A&K’s reach in Northeast Asia. The company already has an established presence in destinations like Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo, as well as sales coverage in Taiwan and Mongolia. With the South Korea DMC, A&K can provide seamless multi-country experiences across the region.
The new South Korea DMC is just the most recent in several expansions the luxury leader has announced this year, such as A&K’s deal with Bolivia-based Crillon Tours and the tour operator’s new Mexico DMC, announced last January.
“South Korea represents the convergence of ancient tradition and contemporary innovation that defines modern luxury travel,” said Rebecca Osman, chief destination officer at AKTG. “This new DMC allows us to unlock authentic Korean experiences for our guests and trade partners, from Seoul’s cutting-edge neighbourhoods to centuries-old palaces and the country’s remarkable culinary heritage.”
