Your Clients Will Love These 3 Halloween Attractions

Busch Garden's Spooktacular

With Halloween just around the corner, travelers will look to amusement parks for some festive fun. Here are some exciting Halloween attractions ranging from super-scary to kid friendly.

13th Floor Chicago
For thrilling haunted house experiences, consider Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group’s scary set-ups in many cities – starting with 13th Floor Chicago’s Haunted House Chicago and The Old Joliet Haunted Prison, which open on Sept. 15 and Sept. 23, respectively.

“We will be introducing two new attractions brimming with horrifyingly innovative new scares and jaw-dropping sets,” said Bryan Kopp, 13th Floor Chicago’s general manager. “We look forward to celebrating a decade of screams and scares with you this Halloween.”

For 13th Floor Chicago’s tenth year in business, visitors can expect an immersive, walk-through experience that with high production values and quality actor performances at the Haunted House Chicago. There will also be a brand-new lights-on, behind-the-scenes tour of the haunted house, as well as escape games and food trucks on site.

The Old Joliet Haunted Prison experience will attract an older crowd with even scarier happenings, plus laser tag, escape rooms, and food and beverage options, including the Neon Cowboy Secret Bar.

Busch Gardens’ Spooktacular
Starting Sept. 9 and running every weekend through September and October, plus Oct. 30 and Oct. 31, Busch Gardens’ not-so-scary Spooktacular event is best for families with children. The amusement park in Tampa Bay, Florida will host its largest Spooktacular yet with new characters, a costume parade, and trick-or-treating.

Spooktacular, which is included in park admission, will include walk-through experiences and festive photo opportunities, fun shows and demonstrations, eight trick-or-treating stations throughout the park, and a Spooktacular costume parade at the Festival Walkway.

Busch Gardens will also hold a Spooktacular event at its Williamsburg, Virginia location on weekends from Sept. 23 to Oct. 29 in the Sesame Street Forest of Fun. Both Busch Gardens locations will also host SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream attraction, a spookier experience for older kids and adults.

SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream
In addition to Busch Gardens, Howl-O-Scream will return to SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio, so there are many destinations to find Halloween fun this year. Each location has its own unique haunted houses, live shows, and bars with themed cocktails.

“SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream is packed with spine-tingling scares that await you at every corner,” said Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing and communications officer of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment. “We hope everyone will come enjoy a little ‘scream therapy’ with us this year.”

Notably, SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream, which opens Sept. 8, will have four new “scream zones” and a roller coaster-in-the-dark experience. SeaWorld San Diego’s Howl-O-Scream, opening Sept. 29, has six themed cocktail bars. And SeaWorld San Antonio, whose Howl-O-Scream opens Sept. 15, will debut a new spooky ice cream shop. All will feature haunted houses and rides in the dark.
