Hilton has announced plans to rebrand two existing properties on the Italian island of Sardinia. A Curio Collection hotel is scheduled to be reflagged this summer, followed by a Conrad property in 2022. Both hotels will be located in southern Sardinia at the Chia Laguna, renowned for its pristine nature, golden sandy beaches, and coastline lagoons home to flocks of pink flamingos.

Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton has an elevated seafront location and will offer 77 rooms, all with private terraces, as well as Southeast Asian, Thai, and Sushi restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, and tennis courts.

Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will be the brand’s first property in Italy. The family-friendly resort, currently undergoing an extensive renovation, will be inspired by Sardinia’s local history and culture.

Upon completion, the resort will have 107 guestrooms, all with private gardens or terraces, and most with ocean views. The refurbishment will see the update and enhancement of common areas, restaurants, and bars.

There will be two restaurants, a lounge, and a poolside bar. La Terrazza restaurant will feature outdoor panoramic terrace seating and will offer a daily breakfast buffet with a hot bar, local artisan products, an organic corner, and local Sardinian specialties.

Sa Mesa, meaning ‘the table’ in local Sardinian dialect, will be the hotel’s signature restaurant offering authentic Sardinian cuisine and an extensive selection of local wines from small local producers in an informal trattoria-style setting.

Bar Bollicine will serve as the hotel’s all-day bar and lounge, where guests can enjoy a variety of Champagnes and Proseccos, as well as cocktails. The bar will also serve afternoon tea as well as light dishes and snacks throughout the day and will feature live evening entertainment.
The hotel’s vast Conrad Spa will span over 10,000 square feet and will include six treatment rooms, a spa bar, a yoga studio, and a state-of-the-art gym.

The hotel will also offer substantial meeting space, ideal for exclusive meetings or destination weddings.

As the brand’s debut hotel in Italy, Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will be the latest addition to a growing collection of nearly 40 Conrad Hotels & Resorts around the world, including existing hotels in the Algarve, Abu Dhabi, London, Washington, D.C., and Singapore.
