Hilton’s New Extended-Stay Brand Will Be Called LivSmart Studios
by Daniel McCarthy /Hilton has unveiled the name and details of its new extended-stay brand.
LivSmart Studios by Hilton, which was first announced by the hotel company as Project H3 last May, is set to welcome its first guests sometime this summer with its debut property in Kokomo, Ind.
The brand, which is the newest of Hilton’s 22 brands, will cater to guests who may be traveling a week or months at a time and are looking for a “lower midscale long-stay hotel brand offering simplicity, consistency, and convenience,” Hilton said on Tuesday.
Each of the properties—Hilton says it has more than 300 LivSmart hotels in the works—will allow guests to maintain their daily routines while on the road. LivSmart hotels will have a room design that caters to long-stay travelers, with a full-sized fridge, dishwasher, microwave, two-burner stove, and lots of storage options.
Each of the properties will also include a simple retail market, a large guest laundry room, a fitness center, and an outdoor area with a firepit, grill, and seating.
First property
Hilton broke ground on the first LivSmart property last October at 5128 Cartwright Drive in Kokomo, Ind. The 137-room hotel is on track to open by the summer of 2024.
When construction started, Hilton chief brand officer Matt Schuyler called what was then known as Project H3 a “game-changing brand” for Hilton.
“This game-changing brand was created specifically to address the needs of guests who seek accessible quality in a long-stay hotel and provide owners with a cost-effective extended-stay hotel to build and operate,” he said.
