Marriott’s EDITION Hotels brand this week announced that it will add eight new properties across three continents by the end of 2022, boosting its global presence from 11 to 19 by the end of next year.

The new additions include hotels in Rome, Madrid, Dubai, Reykjavik, Tampa, Doha, Riviera Maya, and a second Tokyo property.

The brand was launched as a lifestyle concept by Ian Schrager and Marriott in 2007 with the goal of redefining traditional luxury with dining, entertainment, services, and amenities all under one roof. According to EDITION, the ideal consumer for the brand is “affluent, cultural savvy, and service-savvy.”

The new properties are aimed at guests who want to stay in the center of those destinations—the Rome EDITION, for instance, will be located a few steps from Via Veneto and Bernini’s Tritone Fountain while the Madrid EDITION will debut near Puerta de Sol in the heart of that city. All properties will look to incorporate local flavors into their designs while also providing upscale accommodations, including high-end suites, and meeting spaces, that their guests are craving.

“I’ve always been committed to being involved in special projects on a global scale that reach new heights. I’m thrilled to work together with Marriott, and the opportunity to see these hotels come to life across the world is a dream come true,” Ian Schrager said.

Aside from the eight announced this week, EDITION also expects more properties to be added later in 2022.

Here are the expected opening dates for the new properties:

– The Reykjavik EDITION – Mid 2021

– The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza – Late 2021

– The Rome EDITION – Late 2021

– The Dubai EDITION – Late 2021

– The Madrid EDITION – Early 2022

– The Tampa EDITION – Early 2022

– The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai – Mid 2022

– The Doha EDITION – Late 2022
