Sunset Resorts Delays Reopening of Rebranded Properties in Montego Bay

by Jessica Montevago  September 29, 2020

Sunset Resorts, which is in the midst of rebranding and refurbishing two Montego Bay resorts reacquired from AMResorts in June, has postponed the reopening of Sunset Beach Resort, Spa & Waterpark and Oasis at Sunset until January 15, 2021.

The pair were originally set to reopen this fall.

Sunset Resorts said it took into consideration “both increased health and safety protocols for the island and the limited flight service being offered to Jamaica from major feeder markets.”

Sunset at the Palms, Sunset Resorts’ boutique, adults-only resort in Negril, reopened in early July and continues to welcome guests every day. Guest satisfaction surveys are at an all-time high, confirming that Sunset’s “safety in paradise” commitment and increased staff training initiatives have resulted in guests feeling both comfortable and safe on their Jamaican vacations.
