Hilton Appoints New Area President, Caribbean and Latin America

Hilton has appointed Kolin Pound as its new area director for Caribbean and Latin America, effective Aug. 24, 2026.
Pound will oversee operations across the region, where Hilton is seeing significant growth. He was previously the managing director at Ares Management and senior principal at Walton Street Capital.
Danny Hughes, Hilton’s president, Americas, noted that as Hilton expands in the Caribbean and Latin America, Pound’s leadership “will help strengthen our momentum and deliver for our team members, owners, guests and communities.”
“Kolin is a strategic leader with a strong track record of driving performance, building trusted owner relationships and creating long-term value,” Hughes said. “His deep understanding of hospitality, real estate, and investment, combined with his experience across the Caribbean and Latin America, makes him exceptionally well positioned to lead our business in this dynamic region.”
Hilton has a portfolio of 315 hotels and resorts across more than 35 countries and territories, as well as 150 more in the pipeline, in the Caribbean and Latin America.
