The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) has promoted Lewis Nobles to director of business development.

Nobles first joined ASTA nearly five years ago as a business development coordinator and, since then, has risen the ranks within that team, most recently serving as senior business development manager. Prior to ASTA, Nobles spent three years at Royal Caribbean working under Anthony Meloro.

Nobles will now oversee ASTA’s business development team, which entails strengthening supplier partner relationships, serving as the liaison for ASTA’s Proud Partner Committee, managing sales resources, and leading overall business development strategy.

In the new role, Nobles aims to “help drive sustainable growth for the organization without losing sight of the relationships and people that make that growth possible,” he told Travel Market Report.

“There’s a lot of momentum behind ASTA right now, with some really exciting and positive things ahead for both our advisor and supplier members,” he said. “My focus is making sure we continue building on that momentum and that our members and partners feel seen, heard, and valued along the way.”
