Former Trevello Executive Caroline Hay Lands at Global Travel Collection

Caroline Hay, the former Trevello vice president of cruise, is taking on a new role at Global Travel Collection (GTC), the U.S.-based luxury travel agency network.

“With a strong foundation already in place and a significant opportunity ahead, I’m looking forward to elevating our cruise category leadership, deepening partner alignment, and driving meaningful growth and opportunity for our advisor community,” Hay said today announcing her new role.

Hay left Trevello officially in January after almost 10 years at the company, a span that included the creation of Trevello from its previous iteration, Travel Planners International. During her time there, Hay served as the national director of sales, the general manage of cruise, and finally, as the vice president of cruise. Prior to that, she spent time as a BDM with Princess Cruises and Cunard, and a franchise development manager with Expedia.

Despite being based in Canada, where GTC has no current members, Vanessa McGovern, the SVP of Partner Product, Marketing, and Events at GTC, told TMR earlier this year that Hay is a “perfect” fit for GTC and that the group was happy to be able to bring someone over to help build out the company’s cruise business.
