Norse Atlantic Airways, a new Norwegian low-cost long-haul carrier, is adding new service between Rome and New York-JFK starting on June 19.

The flight, which will operate on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, will depart Rome (FCO) at 7:30 p.m. and land in JFK at 11 p.m. The return flight departs JFK at 1 a.m. and lands in Rome at 3:45 p.m.

“We are very pleased to announce Rome as our fifth capital city in Europe offering a direct Norse Atlantic Airways flight to New York JFK. Customers on both sides of the Atlantic will be able to enjoy value, excellent onboard service and comfort while travelling between these two culturally vibrant and exciting cities. The addition of Rome to our network will provide another gateway to Europe and strengthen our presence in New York,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO Norse Atlantic Airways

Norse Atlantic Airways offers a number of different fares depending on how a flyer wants to travel split between its two cabins (Economy and Premium)—Economy Light, Classic, and Plus, and Premium Light, Classic, and Plus.

The Premium tickets place a passenger in the Premium cabin, which is at a 2-3-2 layout and includes a 43-inch seat pitch and a 12-inch recline. The Economy tickets place passengers behind them, in seats that are in a 3-3-3 layout.

The lowest fares, Economy Light, include one under-seat bag. As the prices increase, so do the inclusions, ranging from meal service to carry-on bags, priority boarding, and more. The highest fare in Economy, Economy Plus, includes seat selection, one carry-on, one checked bag, one meal service, and priority boarding.

The highest fare overall, Premium Plus, includes seat selection, carry-on, two checked bags, 2 meal services, priority check-in, and priority boarding.

For the new Rome to New York flight, fares start at €239 one way for economy including taxes, and €550 for premium.

Aside from the new Rome flight, Norse Atlantic also serves New York, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Oslo, London, Berlin, and Paris.
