Audley Travel has announced that CEO Nick Longman will be transferring into a senior advisor role, and that Richard Hodgson is joining the tour operator as his successor.

Audley Travel has appointed Hodgson as the new CEO, effective March 23. Hodgson brings to the role more than 30 years of experience across grocery, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, restaurant and franchising sectors.

“I’m very much looking forward to leading Audley Travel through its next phase of growth and working with the team to deliver extraordinary and exceptional moments across the destinations,” said Hodgson. “The business sets the standard in tailormade travel and is well placed to take advantage of the growing desire for highly personalized, authentic, responsible and meaningful travel experiences.”

Longman has served as Audley Travel’s CEO for seven years. As senior advisor, he will continue to offer expertise and insight as the tour operator grows.

“I’d like to thank Nick for his hard work and dedication during his time as CEO. He leaves the business in extremely good shape … with 2025 being our most successful and profitable year to date. I’m grateful that Nick has agreed to stay on as a senior advisor, as with nearly 30 years of experience in travel, he can continue to add real value to the business,” said Richard Prosser, chairman at Audley Travel.
