Portland-based Avanti Destinations is making some major changes to its executive team, effective Monday.
The company announced that John Hanratty, the current Vice President of Industry Relations, is stepping down at the end of the year. Hanratty has been with Avanti for 11 years and has helped the company drive its highest growth on record.
Hanratty, who has been in travel for 30 years and spent time as Chairman of USTOA, will not be replaced in a traditional manner.
Instead, his responsibilities will be divided between Gina Bang, Avanti’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and Ken Pringle, the former Head of Mountain West Regional Sales, who will now serve as Director of National Accounts. Pringle will be tasked with focusing on agency development, advisor training, and events, while Bang will head preferred agreements, budget, reporting, and long-term strategy.
In a statement, Avanti CEO Paul Barry thanked Hanratty for his contributions to Avanti and for his work driving the industry forward in general.
“We are very thankful for John’s many contributions to our success. As a result of his long-term relationships within the industry, he has strengthened our consortia and agency partnerships. He has also done an excellent job representing the company on the USTOA board. John plans on staying in our industry, and we’re excited for what’s ahead for him. We wish him every success as he begins this new chapter,” Barry said.
