Collette has announced the expansion of its African Safari Portfolio to help travel advisors capitalize on one of the fastest-growing segments in the industry.
Collette’s latest expansion includes the addition of three new itineraries across Africa and Southern Africa, joining a larger portfolio of expert-designed trips that blend wildlife encounters with cultural immersion. The family-owned tour operator has been operating trips in Africa for more than 30 years.
According to Collette, the new tours were added in response to demand for African safaris.
“As demand for safari grows, advisors want partners they can trust to deliver exceptional experiences,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, president and CEO of Collette. “Our teams on the ground bring deep regional knowledge and a passion for travel, creating itineraries advisors can recommend with confidence.”
The new tours are:
- Wilderness of Southern Africa: Safari by Land & Water: a 13-day tour from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls. Guests will try to spot the “Big 5” in Chobe National Park and Hwange National Park, cruise on a chartered safari boat in Lake Kariba, and share a meal with a family in Victoria Falls.
- Cape Town to Cairo: The Ultimate African Expedition: a 25-day journey from Johannesburg to Cairo, exploring Kenya and South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the Nile in Egypt.
- Namibia & South Africa: Epic Landscapes and Wildlife: a 14-day exploration from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park. This active tour focused on game sightings, cultural immersion, and unforgettable sightseeing. Highlights include visiting the German-influenced resort town of Swakopmund, seeing the famed Skeleton Coast, and traveling through the “otherworldly” Namib desert.
Collette continues to update its accommodations in the region, such as the 5-star Luxury Game Shepherd’s Tree Lodge, found on the Exploring South Africa tour. The tour operator said it is focusing on adding new inventory in key regions such as Namibia and South Africa’s Kruger National Park.
“We’ve always believed a successful safari is about more than wildlife sightings,” said Ana Rooney, vice president of tour design and operations. “It’s about creating journeys that feel personal, well-paced, and deeply connected to the destination. That resonates with travelers and helps advisors build retention in their business.”
