Intrepid Travel has a new senior vice president of Global Sales and Partnerships.
Intrepid announced on Wednesday that Steven Larkin, the former director of sales for Canada with Delta and the former president of Intrepid Canada, will take over the role.
Larkin, the co-founder of OUT Adventures, spent more than six years with Intrepid starting in 2008 as president of Canada for the tour operator. He then spent more than a decade as director of sales, Canada, for Delta Air Lines before rejoining Intrepid this week.
In the new role, Larkin will be tasked with expanding the group’s North American footprint, specifically “through new acquisition and partnerships,” Intrepid said. He will also head up expansion via “external sales, affinity groups, and emerging commercial channels.” Larkin’s appointment is part of Intrepid’s ongoing goal of reaching $500 million in North American business by 2030.
He will report directly to Intrepid’s Americas president Leigh Barnes and will work with other members of Intrepid’s North American sales team, including Matt Berna, Laura Hernandez, Caroline Tinsley, and Christian Wolters.
“I’m excited to rejoin Intrepid at such a pivotal moment,” Steven Larkin said. “There is enormous opportunity in the North American market, especially as more partners look to align with a brand that leads on responsible travel. Intrepid has incredible momentum right now, and I’m looking forward to helping drive the next phase of growth.”
