Intrepid Travel is giving travel advisors in the U.S. and Canada the chance to win a free trip to Peru through a new contest tied to the company’s recently launched “Intrepid Effect” purpose platform.
The giveaway, which runs from June 24 to July 31, 2026, is open to travel advisors in the U.S. and Canada. One winner will receive an Intrepid trip to Peru valued at up to $3,500.
To participate, advisors must complete an online entry form and share their own “Intrepid Effect” moment: a story that illustrates how travel can create a positive impact for travelers and local communities. Advisors are limited to one entry each (no bookings or purchase required).
Advisors can enter their submission by following this link: https://forms.office.com/r/tPvk3EbFi0.
The contest coincides with the launch of The Intrepid Effect, a new global platform designed to highlight the social, environmental, and economic impact of Intrepid’s tours through real-world examples and traveler experiences. The company said it will also roll out advisor-focused messaging and tools intended to help communicate the impact of the tour operator’s trips to clients.
“In a changing regulatory landscape, we want to ensure travelers can clearly see and understand the small difference their individual journeys make,” said Hazel McGuire, chief marketing officer at Intrepid Travel.
The Intrepid Effect has been created in response to upcoming changes to the EU Green Claims Directive and updated B Corp minimum standards. According to the tour operator, both will soon place stronger emphasis on clear, accountable actions with supporting data, as a strategy to combat corporate greenwashing and misleading claims.
“Rather than leading with aspirational claims or unverified impact metrics, which can be commonplace in the travel industry, Intrepid wants to shift the focus to real experiences and tangible moments that travelers can see, feel and understand,” added McGuire “The Intrepid Effect connects experiences to real outcomes for host communities and places, underpinned by impact measurement. It’s substantiated storytelling, where the words are backed by the work.”
