Kensington Ultraluxe Unveils Exclusive Women-Only Mongolia Expedition

Kensington Expeditions has announced a new, exclusive women-only trip to Mongolia led by survival expert and expedition leader Megan Hine.

A division of Kensington Ultraluxe, Kensington Expeditions is a tour operator brand that specializes in purpose-driven travel to the world’s most remote destinations. Its adventures balance excitement and comfort, with exclusivity built into each itinerary. Relying on Kensington’s expertise across more than 120 countries, the brand offers both pre-set expeditions as well as fully personalized expeditions by land, sea, air, and even space.

Mongolia Women’s Expedition with Megan Hine will take a small group of women on an epic adventure through the landscapes of Mongolia. Accommodations range from the Shangri-La Ulaanbaatar to traditional gers and expedition camps. While there is no set itinerary — part of the intrepid nature of the trip — travelers can look forward to learning skills such as off-road driving, campcraft, navigation, and horseback riding. Previous experience in these areas is not required.

Described by Kensington Expeditions as “far removed from a traditional tour,” the expedition will feature a professional film crew, who are capturing the experience for a documentary series.

“This expedition is about creating the space for women to discover what they can do when they step into an environment that is unfamiliar, challenging and completely real,” said Neal Bateman, head of Kensington Expeditions.  “Mongolia provides an extraordinary setting for that kind of experience, and Megan is an exceptional leader. This is not about arriving as an experienced adventurer. It is about arriving with curiosity, resilience and a willingness to take on something new.”

The expedition is divided into three legs, departing from Sept. 30 through Nov. 4, 2026: The northern Taiga, the Altai Mountains and the Gobi Desert. Travelers have the option to join for one, two, or all three segments. The cost to participate is $14,000, per person, per expedition leg. International airfare is not included.

Hine is an internationally recognized expedition leader and risk management strategist who has more than 20 years of experience leading complex trips, including remote film productions. In the past, she’s worked with National Geographic, Netflix, Amazon, and the BBC.

“Mongolia is the kind of place that asks something of you,” said Hine. “This expedition is about bringing together women who are curious enough to say yes to something they may never have imagined themselves doing. They don’t need to arrive knowing how to drive off-road, navigate wilderness or live on expedition. We’ll teach them. What matters is their willingness to learn, support one another and see what becomes possible when they move beyond the familiar.”

Hine will also be leading two further Kensington Expeditions in 2027, open to both men and women: one to Peru and another to Argentina.
