G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions have announced 30 new itineraries, inviting travelers to explore regions like the Galápagos, Thailand, and the Amazon.
National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures is the product of a collaboration between the two exploration-focused brands, which have partnered together for more than a decade. Nat Geo and G Adventures have hosted thousands of travelers over the years, and have diversified their portfolio to also include Family Journeys and premium, “Signature” experiences. Back in 2025, the two companies extended the partnership for another 10 years.
This latest announcement extends the collaboration with 24 new National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures and six newly updated National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures. As with all of G Adventures’ tours, these itineraries are small groups, ranging from maximum group sizes of 16 to 22 guests. Most have departures in 2027 running through 2028, although some, such as the updated Egypt Family Journey, have departures in Fall 2026.
The new itineraries focus on bringing out the personal stories of each destination, giving travelers a more enriched and meaningful way to experience the region. While the tours still include opportunities to sightsee and enjoy natural scenery, there are more human connections built in as well — whether that’s dining with a local family, participating in workshops with artisans, or learning authentic recipes in a cooking class.
The updated Family Journeys now also include a Junior Explorers Night, designed to give kids a chance to interact with their peers away (but still close to) the parents. With a dedicated Expedition Leader just for the children, kids will participate in guided activities designed to keep them engaged. The itineraries also include a Made Together Moment, through which parents and children collaborate on a craft such as jewelry making or ceramics.
The Family Journeys have group sizes up to 22 guests. Age requirements vary per trip, but most have a minimum age of seven years old, with some being 12 years old. Children must sign up alongside an adult.
