The resorts and tourism venues of Las Vegas are transforming this desert oasis into a winter wonderland for the holidays.
The LINQ Promenade, an outdoor dining and entertainment plaza on the Las Vegas Strip, will feature a nightly snow fall at Winter PARQ, with a 2,000-light musical light show through Dec. 30. The Bellagio Conservatory is displaying a 42-foot holiday tree and a train station with two 10-foot trains adorned with 1,200 red and white roses and four animated toy soldiers. The Wynn Las Vegas has unveiled five distinct fantasy villages, with 33 holiday trees and thousands of poinsettias in shades of ivory and gold and seasonal lighting.
The Las Vegas Academy of the Arts choir will be performing classic favorites in the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas Sky Lobby Dec. 19-22. Patrons can indulge in an assortment of holiday sweets and tea at the Nutcracker Tea at The Tea Lounge from Dec. 1 – Jan. 4. And the Nevada Ballet Theater will be performing The Nutcracker on weekends at The Smith Center, through December, while Circus Circus debuts its first-ever “Holi-Dome” at The Adventuredome five-acre theme park, with special performances by bands, dancers and carolers.
The Park, located between the New York-New York Hotel & Casino and Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, features 16-foot tall ornament tunnels filled with twinkling lights, icicles, crystal blooms and a 60-foot holiday tree adorned with 3,000 ornaments and 13,000 lights. Meanwhile, the Fremont Street Experience has a 50-foot tree beneath the 12.5 million lights of the Viva Vision canopy, next to the D Las Vegas, Four Queens Hotel & Casino and Fremont Hotel & Casino. Fremont Street Experience will also host the Grand Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 24.
