Power Restored at Disneyland After Outage Stops Rides
by Jessica Montevago /About a dozen rides at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., came to a halt Wednesday following a power outage, during the park’s busy holiday season.
The power went out around 11 am local time, stopping about 12 rides in Mickey’s Toontown and Fantasyland. Park officials said the outage was caused by a malfunction with one of the property’s transformers.
Guests were escorted off rides until power was restored around 4pm.
Park officials said they were only accepting guests for re-entry at Disneyland, and no refunds were expected to be offered, according to a park spokesperson.
