Affluent Traveler Collection Celebrates 20 Years of Delivering the Extraordinary

The Affluent Traveler Collection is celebrating 20 years.

Demand for luxury travel has never been higher, and The Affluent Traveler Collection is well-positioned to benefit from that trend, as the network celebrates two decades of delivering extraordinary vacations to discerning clients.

The invitation-only network says it continues to enhance its programs, ensuring agencies and partners lead the way in the hypercompetitive – but ever-expanding — luxury travel market.

In 2005, TRAVELSAVERS was an early adopter as it expanded its marketing program into the luxury space with an initiative focused on upscale properties: Great Hotels. Its aim was to drive affluent leads to advisors with a consumer magazine as its centerpiece.

Twenty years later, The Affluent Traveler Collection has expanded far beyond the original program into a well-respected brand. ATC encompasses a network of luxury specialists and an impressive portfolio of providers across all segments of the industry. The magazine – now known as The Affluent Traveler – is flourishing. So are other ATC initiatives that drive business to its advisors:

  • A consumer website connecting luxury travellers to advisors.
  • Comprehensive, advisor-branded consumer email and direct mail programs.
  • Lifestyle campaigns highlighting exclusive offers in niches such as epicurean, mind-body,culture and family travel.

“ATC began with the goal of driving quality luxury leads to our agencies through focused marketing of our powerful partnerships,” said Chief Marketing Officer Nicole Mazza.

“Two decades later, we are still generating new business and new heights of success for our advisors. ATC has developed into a dynamic network that helps our advisors deliver exclusive rates, premium products, and unmatched value for clients.”

One constant over ATC’s 20 years is its consumer magazine. The Affluent Traveler is an award-winning publication that appears twice a year in print and digital formats.

The Affluent Traveler serves as a lead generator for ATC advisors, as it’s customized with their contact details and shipped to clients on their behalf. At more than 100 pages in each issue, the magazine features stunning photography and engaging content to inspire readers to book their next getaway to one of the world’s most compelling destinations.

The magazine reaches more than 200,000 readers annually and is also distributed in bookstores, Delta and United airport lounges, more than 100 private jet terminals, and newsstands across North America.

Luxury travel means different things to different people.

ATC is now more than 350 agencies strong. As travellers increasingly treat themselves to luxury experiences, more advisors are cultivating an affluent specialty to meet demand. Only agencies that achieve ATC’s strict standards for affiliation are invited to join.

Its partner portfolio has also expanded strategically over the years. The collection now stands at over 1,300 hotels, as well as luxury cruise lines, OnLocation destination management companies, tour operators and more. Luxury icons including St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton and Six Senses are prominent in the portfolio and many founding partners remain with the collection.

Today, ATC offers a variety of exclusive promotions and enriched benefits. Hotel amenities are worth an average of $1,000 per stay and include daily complimentary breakfast, $100 food and beverage credit, a one-category room upgrade, early check-in and late check-out if available.

In addition to lead-generating marketing and exclusive offers, ATC advisors enjoy innovative technology, sales supports and professional development to help them succeed in a crowded marketplace.

A state-of-the-art booking engine empowers advisors to capture sales around the clock. An air fulfillment service offers real-time inventory and commissions on international routes. A team of Business Analysts provide customized insights to help agencies grow their revenues.

In-destination trips, webinars, online learning and events enable advisors to stay ahead of the latest trends and products.

“Affluent travellers want vacations tailored to their interests and preferences,” said Mazza. “With ATC’s breadth and exclusive advantages, our specialists can create superior vacation experiences as well as provide outstanding service and peace of mind to their clientele.”
