ALG Vacations Shows Its Amped-Up Appreciation to Travel Advisors

ALG Vacations Shows Its Amped-Up Appreciation to Travel Advisors

For the entire month of May during Travel Advisor Appreciation Month, ALG Vacations® is showing its appreciation to its travel advisor partners with “amped-up gratitude.”

The brand’s Travel Advisor Appreciation Month program has several components: giveaways, contests to win prizes and points, an educational content series, professional development resources, lead-generating initiatives, and a special sale.

ALG Vacations created the program to celebrate and appreciate travel advisors. As part of the brand’s year-long “Ask A Travel Advisor” awareness campaign, one month is dedicated to travel advisors. It is the company’s way of giving back and it was designed to help advisors understand all the tools that the brand has in place to assist them in building their businesses.

First off, through the “New For You Giveaway,” every time travel advisors book ALG Vacations throughout May, they are entered to win one of twelve 3- to 4-night stays at luxurious, newly opened hotels and resorts. Those properties are: Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa by AMR™ Collection (Cancun, Mexico), Dreams Karibana Cartagena Golf & Spa Resort by AMR™ Collection (Cartagena, Colombia), Hotel Xcaret Arte (Riviera Maya, Mexico), Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana by Karisma (Punta Cana, Dominican Republic), Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort (Oahu, Hawaii), Riu Latino (Costa Mujeres, Cancun), Secrets Impression Moxche by AMR™ Collection (Riviera Maya, Mexico), Secrets Moxche Playa Del Carmen by AMR™ Collection (Riviera Maya, Mexico), Andaz Prague (Prague, Czech Republic), Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta (Atlanta, Georgia), Resorts World Las Vegas (Las Vegas, Nevada), and Royalton Grenada (Grenada, Caribbean).

Through the program’s “New for You & Local Lore Gift Basket Giveaway,” advisors can win any of 14 curated gift sets from some of the brand’s favorite destinations. The artfully and authentically crafted gift baskets were created by ALG Vacations partners that call those places home and they reflect the local lore. Advisors have three ways to enter to win when they book with ALG Vacations this month: 1) Get a base entry with any agent-level booking, 2) Get a bonus entry by adding Travel Protection Plus; and 3) Add an Amstar transfer for yet another bonus entry. Winners will be announced on July 1.

The brand is also offering its “Insider Confidential” series of insider tips direct from hotels to help advisors bolster their expertise and give them an edge when selling select properties. In addition, professional development resources are available, such as marketing toolkits in ALGV360° and TravelBlogue stories from other advisors.

The program’s “Great Advice, Right Price” element was designed to help advisors capture more sales with special deals, such as savings of up to $250, free nights, and special bonus commissions.

Lastly, the “Ask a Travel Advisor” year-long campaign aims to generate interest in working with a travel advisor during a time when travelers need them the most, but also to generate leads for the advisors. To this end, ALG Vacations has launched a media blitz; set up a website where consumers can connect to premium advisors; and has a Facebook page where advisors can chat with prospective clients.

Through the Travel Advisor Appreciation Month program, ALG Vacations wants to make advisors aware of all the resources that are available and tailor-made for them through ALGV and ALGV360°, as well as to show appreciation for their partnership.
