Girls Just Want to Have Sun, All-Inclusive Girls Getaway to Love

April 03, 2023

Finding a resort that hits the sweet spot between sophisticated and fun can be a challenge. Yet Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya, a five-star adults-only resort set on the beautiful white sands of Playa del Secreto, has managed to strike the just-right balance. Here, women with a milestone to celebrate—bachelorette party, anyone?—or any time with the girls, won’t need to choose between lowkey mingling and high key luxury for their group.

MAKE IT A SPA DAY

There’s no better way to slip into vacation mode than by getting pampered. Facials, massages, body wraps, and nail treatments at the on-site Aromance Spa are the perfect addition to any girls trip … but the Valentin Ritual takes self-care to the max.

Combining a Nourishing Body Wrap, Classic Pedicure, and Valentin Massage, a massage incorporating shiatsu, Swedish, lomilomi, and acupressure techniques and an on-trend scalp massage, it delivers not only on relaxation, but downtime between treatments to enjoy a cup of tea … or spill the tea with friends.

HANG OUT BY THE POOL

If you have one of the most gorgeous pools in the region, it’s a given guests will gravitate there. The main pool isn’t just great for cooling off while taking in the views, however. Live music, a water acrobatics show, and aqua Zumba and aqua-force activities each make for a fun afternoon with the girls.

TRY SOMETHING NEW

Nothing brings the laughs like trying out a new activity with friends—and Valentin Imperial offers plenty of opportunities to do just that. Bride squads and friend groups can bond over Latin dance classes, tequila tastings, guided bike tours, or a game of basketball or tennis.

GET DONE UP

Dining at Valentin Imperial is, simply, outstanding. Most of the restaurants keep things casual, but three add to the ambiance with a “Night Elegant” dress code:

  • Ginger, the Japanese venue, featuring show cooking, teppanyaki, and sushi
  • L’Alsace, the Parisian bistro with a certain je ne sais quoi
  • L’Olivo, the Italian restaurant serving fresh pasta and flavors

No reservations are required, but ladies who want to dine there will need to wear a dress or blouse and skirt/capris/dressy jeans or Bermudas and dressy sandals.

After dinner, DJ-spun tunes at Plaza España or, for those who imbibe, a drink at the Martini Bar or glass of wine at Don Miguel Bar let the night “out”—and photo ops—continue.

BRING ON THE EXTRAS

Starting at just 5 rooms staying 3 nights, group benefits at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya add to the festive feel. Bach bashes or getaways of 5 – 7 rooms get a free bottle of sparkling wine per room, semi-private cocktail hour with appetizers and premium spirits, and a hat or fan for the group leader.

Bring the total up to 8 – 20 rooms to gain a private check-in, preferred room assignments, and special amenities for the leader. Larger groups claim extra perks like free room upgrades, a private cocktail party, and spa discounts.

ADVISOR RESOURCES

Between a packed activities roster on site and the countless cultural and natural attractions nearby, keeping track of all the selling points can be challenging. Thankfully, ALGVPro, the new advisor specialist program by ALG Vacations®, puts it all in one place: an on-demand Valentin Imperial module you can complete at your own pace.
