Following today’s news that Avoya Travel’s CEO Marc Kazlauskas will leave the Host agency to take on the role of NCL president, Avoya has announced that Phil Cappelli will assume the role of CEO. Cappelli joined Avoya in September 2023 as chief sales officer.
“We are grateful for his [Marc Kazlauskas’] contributions during a pivotal period, including the successful transition following Avoya’s acquisition by Certares earlier this year,” the Host agency wrote in a statement emailed to TMR.
Kazlauskas joined Avoya in August 2025, two months after the Anderson family fully sold the Host agency it started (as Anderson Travel Agency in 1990) to Certares. Certares first took partial ownership of the Host agency in 2021.
Kazlauskas will remain with Avoya through mid-January to “support a smooth and orderly transition.”
