Top Travel Experiences That Are Worth the Upgrade

March 01, 2023

As demand increases for travel once again in 2023, customers are looking to splurge on the extras to take their travel experience to the next level. Air Canada offers a range of enhanced products and premium services that will help travellers make the most of their journey. From award-winning Maple Leaf Lounge access to comfortable lie-flat pods and more, these travel experiences are worth the upgrade.

Lie-flat pods with Air Canada Signature Class

Customers flying to and from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America on board Air Canada’s mainline Boeing 787, 777 and Airbus 330 aircraft can  experience Air Canada Signature Class. The premium cabin features pods which convert to a fully lie-flat bed up to 6’7” long. Each pod also comes with a pillow, duvet, mattress pad and noise-cancelling headphones, perfect for customers looking to get some rest on long-haul flights.

The airline also recently unveiled its new Air Canada Signature Class amenity kits in partnership with Acqua di Parma. The stylish new amenity bags contain Acqua di Parma luxury skincare products for the flight in addition to an oversized eye mask, comfy socks, dental products and 3M earplugs.

Access to award-winning Maple Leaf Lounges

Qualifying customers can enjoy complimentary access to Air Canada’s award-winning Maple Leaf Lounges, located in 16 airports across Canada, the United States and Europe. Complimentary access is available for qualifying customers and priority access lanes at select lounges are also now available at peak times for Air Canada Signature Class, Business Class and Aeroplan Super Elite customers.

Maple Leaf Lounges offer complimentary light snacks and beverages including enhanced food and beverage offerings, with a curated selection of wines from local distributors, plus beer, wine, spirits and snacks. The lounges feature cell-free quiet zones, free high-speed Wi-Fi, business centres and showers with fresh towels and complimentary shower amenities at select locations.

Exclusive experiences in the Air Canada Signature Suite

Select Air Canada Signature Class customers that are travelling internationally to Europe, Asia and South America can take advantage of exclusive access to the Air Canada Signature Suite. Available at Toronto Pearson International Airport, and at Vancouver International Airport for select Air Canada Signature Class customers, the premium experience offers a refined space to relax, dine or work before their flight. Premium amenities are also available with luxury skincare products from Molton Brown.

Travellers can sit down for a complimentary meal from the à la carte menu curated by renowned chef David Hawksworth. A bar menu and all-day buffet are also available for customers who prefer a quick bite. Complimentary signature cocktails are crafted by on-site mixologists, using a premium selection of spirits and champagne.

Extra legroom with Preferred Seats

Travellers flying in Economy Class who want a bit more extra legroom can upgrade to a Preferred Seat. Typically located in exit rows, select bulkhead rows and the first few rows of the cabin on certain flights, Preferred Seats offer up to 4” of extra space between seats. Preferred Seats close to the front of the cabin will also help customers exit the aircraft sooner upon arrival, ideal for business travellers.

Customers who are Aeroplan Elite Members, or those who have purchased a Latitude or Comfort Fare, will be able to select a Preferred Seat at no extra cost or at a reduced price based on availability.
