Century Cruises is continuing to grow its North American executive team, this time with a new president and GM.

Century this week named David Fredericks, who had previously served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Century since December 2024, as its new president and GM of the Americas.

Fredericks brings more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry to the role, having grown multiple distribution channels for Carnival Corp., Viking Cruises, Online Vacation Center, Luxury Cruise Connections, Crystal Cruises, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and, most recently, at Oasis Travel Network-Smartcruiser.com.

“It’s a great honor to earn Chairman Peng’s trust and to lead our dedicated Americas team. Together, we will not only advance Century’s business goals but also serve as a bridge of cultural friendship — inviting more travelers from the Americas to experience the true beauty of China,” Fredericks said in a statement.

Century Cruises is one of China’s main river cruise operators, sailing on the country’s Yangtze River. It operates a fleet of eight ships in China but recently announced plans for five new vessels in Europe and five in Egypt.
