Trafalgar is welcoming this year’s festive season by opening up bookings for its 2026 and 2027 Christmas Market river cruises on the Danube and Rhine rivers.

“Trafalgar’s Christmas market river cruises invite travelers to rediscover what the holiday season is truly about—celebrating time with loved ones and creating new, unforgettable memories,” said Damien O’Connor, vice president of river cruise, Trafalgar. “For travel advisors, these holiday river cruises offer a unique, immersive holiday experience that combines the festive magic of Europe’s Christmas markets with Trafalgar’s signature hospitality and meaningful connections.”

Two itineraries are available, both eight days, one each on the Rhine and Danube rivers. Both make their debut on Nov. 25, 2026.

The eight-day Rhine Christmas Market cruise will be onboard the 128-passenger Verity, traveling between Basel and Dusseldorf with stops in Basel, Strasbourg, Cologne, Rüdesheim, and more.

The eight-day Danube Christmas Market cruise will be onboard Trafalgar Reverie, traveling between Budapest and Passau with stops in Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Passau, and more.

Both itineraries will be available four times in 2026 and four in 2027.

Trafalgar is entering the river cruise market for the first time in spring 2026 with an eight-day Danube river cruise itinerary and 10-day Rhine River option.
