VIVA Cruises has appointed cruise industry veteran Michael Weldon as senior director of national, key, and strategic accounts.

Weldon joins the river cruise company from H/X Expeditions, where he has served as director of sales and national accounts since before the company split from Hurtigruten Group. Prior to H/X and Hurtigruten, Weldon held a variety of sales positions at AmaWaterways, American Cruise Lines, Viking, and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Weldon announced his new position on LinkedIn, where he said he was excited to share VIVA with U.S.-based travel advisors.
