Carnival Corp. to Relocate Most Brand Operations to Florida

Over the next three years, Carnival Corp. will work to relocate team members for all its North American brands to its new Global Headquarters in South Florida. This will affect land-based employees for Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, and Holland America Line. The former two are currently headquartered in California, while HAL has its main office in Seattle.

Though some Holland America employees will end up working out of the new Florida office, Carnival Corp. is not shutting down its Seattle office. That office will remain Carnival Corp’s sole auxiliary North American business office, “strategically located at our important Seattle homeport and gateway to Alaska operations,” a Carnival Corporation & plc spokesperson told TMR.

“Following our announcement last fall that we are exploring options for new office facilities in South Florida for our Global Headquarters (HQ), today we informed team members that – when complete in approximately three years in 2028 – our new Global HQ in Miami-Dade County will also become our main North America office location,” the Carnival Corporation & plc spokesperson said.

“We will ultimately co-locate most North America shoreside team members at our new HQ – both Corporate and cruise line brands – bringing teams closer together for even greater collaboration and impact across teams and operating units while organizing ourselves efficiently to best support our cruise lines and leverage our global scale.”

All three brands have a long history of having offices on the West Coast. Princess Cruises has been headquartered in California since the mid-1970s, while Holland America has been located in Seattle since 1983. Cunard has had its office in California since 2004.
