With Cyber week not quite over yet, several cruise lines are already reporting record Black Friday weekend sales records. Holland America Line, Azamara Cruises, and Virgin Voyages all reported at least one record day of sales.
Holland America Line
Holland America broke its Black Friday weekend sales record in the U.S. with 19% more bookings than its previous high watermark, set in 2023 for the same period of Black Friday to Cyber Monday.
Bookings were especially strong among guests planning summer Alaska vacations in 2026. People also booked cruises as close in as the Caribbean for later this month and as far out as South America in 2028.
Azamara Cruises
For Azamara, Cyber Monday proved to be its best booking day in the cruises’ entire history. New bookings that day were up approximately 5% over its previous record. The broader multi-week Black Friday sales also ranked among the tip five best booking periods in the cruise line’s history.
“Cyber Monday blew past every expectation,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, CEO of Azamara Cruises. “To see travelers respond at this level, surpassing every projection, tells us that interest in small-ship cruising has never been stronger.”
She added, “Our Travel Partners are instrumental to our success, and with their support, we were able to achieve these incredible results. This record-breaking performance is a true testament to the strength of those partnerships and the growing demand for the Azamara experience.”
According to the line, demand surged across several key regions, led by Alaska, ahead of Azamara’s return to the region in 2026. There was also strong interest in Western Mediterranean itineraries.
Veranda staterooms were the top-performing category throughout the promotion period.
Virgin Voyages
As reported by industry trade publication Cruise Week, Black Friday was Virgin Voyages’ best gross sales booking day ever. There was also “strong momentum on Saturday” and “tremendous sales” on Sunday and Monday.
