Silversea Cruises is a small-ship luxury cruise company that offers classic luxury and upscale expedition-style itineraries. The line’s 11-ship fleet (as of end of 2023) is divided into classic chips and expedition ships. The line also has a purpose-built 100-passenger ship dedicated to year-round Galapagos Islands sailing.  All ships are all-suite with butler service.

The line is known for its white glove service and all-inclusive fares that include door-to-door transfers, international roundtrip flights, pre- and/or post-cruise nights, select shore excursions, beverages (mini-bar included), dining (not specialty), crew gratuities, and Wi-Fi.

Destinations Visited
Silversea Cruises sails all over the world and to all seven continents. Itineraries visit ports in Africa & Indian Ocean, Alaska, American West Coast, Antarctica, Arctic & Greenland, Asia, Australia & New Zealand, Canada & New England, Caribbean & Central America, Galapagos, Mediterranean, Northern Europe & British Isles, South America, and the South Pacific.

Silversea Travel Agent Education Program
SilverseaAcademy.com

Travel advisors can learn more about Silversea Cruises, its classic and expedition ships, ports of call, and get tips on how to gain clients and close sales through Silversea Academy.

Graduates of Silversea Academy receive five CLIA elective credits when they complete all the modules, and can qualify for special incentives and to win prizes. The more courses travel advisors complete, the more opportunities they have to qualify for prize drawings, a place on Fam trips, and invitations to events and roadshows.

Silversea Travel Agent Rates & Fams
Silversea travel agent discounts are available on most sailings, but very based on the occupancy levels of each voyage.

The cruise line also offers hosted travel advisor fam trips every year. There are no set number of trips per year and invitations are via regional sales managers.

Silversea Travel Agent Sales Reps
In the Americas, Silversea has 15 Area Sales Directors covering U.S. Territories, Canada and Latin America. These sales directors are supported by an internal trade support team. Advisors can find out who their sales director is on the Silversea travel agent portal.

Silversea Travel Agent Marketing Assistance
Travel advisors have access to Marketing Central via the Silversea travel agent website. Here advisors can download brochures, customize flyers and digital banners, and download photos, videos and logos.

Additionally, travel advisors who contact their sales rep about hosting a cruise night are offered a Cruise Night Certificate with cruise savings to pass on to their clients.

Percentage of Bookings from Travel Agency Community
According to Silversea, travel advisors make up the largest segment of its bookings.
