MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy Launch Delayed to Early 2024

Marriott and MGM Resorts have delayed launching their new partnership to early 2024.

The two major hospitality brands announced in July that they would partner to create the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, which was set to launch in October 2023. However, earlier this week, the companies released a joint statement delaying the rollout of the hotel collection.

“Marriott International and MGM Resorts International are creating an extraordinary experience for our loyalty members with the introduction of MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy,” the statement said. “Our two companies are excited to deliver world-class offerings and benefits for our guests. We look forward to debuting MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy by early 2024.”

A specific date for the launch has not been revealed, and the brands did not mention what has caused the delay. A possible reason is last month’s cyberattack that shut down MGM Resorts’ computer systems, which could have cut into time needed finalize the partnership.

When it does launch, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy will include the following properties:

  • Vdara Hotel & Spa
  • MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
  • NoMad Las Vegas
  • The Signature at MGM Grand
  • Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
  • New York-New York Hotel & Casino
  • Luxor Hotel and Casino
  • Excalibur Hotel & Casino
  • Borgata (Atlantic City, New Jersey)
  • Beau Rivage (Biloxi, Mississippi)
  • MGM Grand Detroit (Michigan)
  • MGM National Harbor (Maryland)
  • MGM Springfield (Massachusetts)

In addition, Bellagio Resort & Casino will join The Luxury Collection, ARIA Resort & Casino will join Autograph Collection, Park MGM will become part of Tribute Portfolio, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will continue its affiliation with Autograph Collection.

“We are excited to make MGM Resorts’ incredible properties available on Marriott channels, allowing our members to enjoy Marriott Bonvoy benefits when they stay at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy resorts,” said Anthony Capuano, Marriott International’s president and CEO. “We look forward to increasing our global rooms distribution by 2.4 percent as we grow our presence on the Las Vegas Strip and in other compelling destinations across the U.S.”

The long-term agreement will benefit loyalty members by allowing them to link accounts and earn rewards at each of the 17 MGM-Marriott properties and all of Marriott’s 8,500 hotels.
