Virgin Voyages Offering Travel Advisors Bonus Commission Through End of Year

Virgin Voyages Offering Travel Advisors Bonus Commission Through End of Year

Extra commission is available on all bookings from Dec. 19 through the end of the year.

Ahead of its 2020 launch, Virgin Voyages is giving travel advisors an opportunity to boost their bottom line, with an extra 3% commission on all bookings from Dec. 19 through the end of the year.

Virgin, which already announced that it would eliminate all NCFs as part of its trade strategy it’s calling “An Epic Sea Change,” is allowing advisors to stack extra incentives that would boost commission on bookings up to 16% (Virgin already offers 10% commission on the fare along with all add-ons like flights, hotel stays, insurance, shore excursions, spa packages, onboard credits, basic beverage packages, fitness classes, and taxes and fees).

“We see our First Mates as a true extension of our team and recognize their commitment to our brand as valued partners. As Scarlet Lady prepares for her Maiden Voyage in April, we know our First Mates will play a pivotal role in making her inaugural year a success and we wanted to find more ways to show our unwavering appreciation,”  said Tom McAlpin, president and CEO for Virgin Voyages.

All new bookings made between Dec. 19 and Dec. 31 will earn an additional 3% bonus commission. Any bookings made between those dates on sailings taking place in April and May will also get another 3%.

Both extras are stackable, meaning that advisors can earn a 16% commission on the total fare for any new bookings for April or May sailings.

Virgin also announced today the names of its new dedicated sales team—Edyta Teper will handle strategic accounts for North America; John Diorio will handle North America sales; and Shane Riley will handle International Sales.

Virgin is currently readying Scarlet Lady, the first of four ships on order, for its April debut.

Scarlet Lady will feature 20-plus eateries with no surcharges, 78 suites with eight different styles, access to a personal assistant that Virgin has dubbed a “Rockstar Coordinator,” the first ever tattoo studio at sea, an original craft beer, Virgin’s on-demand champagne delivery service, and much more.

The ship will sail from Miami to the Caribbean year round starting in March 2020.
