Israel Launches Destination Specialist Program

by Dori Saltzman  May 05, 2023
Israel Launches Destination Specialist Program

Travel advisors interested in learning more about how to book travel to Israel can now do so with the country’s all-new destinations specialist program. The course is designed for those who know little about the country, as well as those already planning Israeli vacations.

“The Destination Specialist Program is another exciting step that the Israel Ministry of Tourism has taken to highlight the latest updates in the country’s tourism growth and its attraction to the American market,” said Eyal Carlin, tourism commissioner for North America for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we reflect on how much we’ve accomplished as a nation and, at the same time, are looking ahead to an even brighter future. We value our partnership with our advisors who help us to continue to spread the message of Israel’s many faceted experiences as well as its appeal to a wide range of travelers.”

Included in the curriculum is information about Israel as a destination, including specific information regarding faith-based, multigenerational, heritage, and outdoor/adventure travel. Suggested itineraries range from outdoor adventure that takes visitors from the Red Sea to the Negev Desert to the Golan Heights, to Holy Land tours perfect for Catholics, Evangelical Protestants and other Christians interested in sites mentioned in the Bible or once occupied by the Crusaders.

The specialist program joins a brand-new trade website offering even more information about Israel’s regions, tour operators and guides, hotels, specialty topics, and more. Advisors can also find promotional assets including images, videos, and brochures, as well as webinars on specific topics such as wine, accessibility, and sustainability.

Graduates of the Israel Specialist Program can earn up to four continuing education units (CEUs) from the Travel Institute.
