Delta Air Lines Drops Tel Aviv from Schedule through December 2024
by Daniel McCarthy /Delta Air Lines will not operate its JFK International (JFK) to Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) route through at least December 2024.
Just like in its past announcements, Delta cited “the evolving security environment” in Israel as the reason for the news. And while Delta only canceled through December, the airline said that more cancellations could be in store.
“As always, the safety of customers and crew remains paramount. Customers should be prepared for possible adjustments to Delta’s TLV flight schedule, including additional cancellations on a rolling basis,” it said.
At the same time, Delta issued a new travel waiver for anyone booked to or from Ben Gurion before Dec. 31, 2024. It is waiving all fare differences for rebooked travel, as long as the new flights are rebooked for travel on or before March 1, 2025, in the same cabin of service.
