American Airlines Will Launch Service from Miami to Casa de Campo
by Daniel McCarty /As North Americans prepare for what is expected to be a busy summer travel season, American Airlines is rolling out its schedule for next winter, with more routes to some Caribbean and Latin America hotspots.
The schedule includes a new daily route from Miami International Airport (MIA) to La Romana, Dominican Republic (LRM) starting on Dec. 5. LRM, on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic, is adjacent to both La Romana, and the city’s Casa de Campo resort, the 7,000-acre hotel, resort, and community.
The route is just one of several flights American offers next winter for North Americans wanting to get some sun. Others include:
– Charlotte (CLT) to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD), which will fly each Saturday starting Dec. 7.
– New York (JFK) to Bridgetown, Barbados (BGA), which will be offered daily starting on Nov. 5.
– JFK to St. Lucia (UVF), and JFK to SVD, which will each fly every Saturday starting Dec. 7.
– Philadelphia (PHL) to BGI, which will fly every Saturday starting on Nov. 9.
– PHL to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR), which will fly every Saturday starting Dec. 7.
Customers will have more reasons to choose American than ever before for nonstop fun in the sun this year,” said Brian Znotins, American’s senior vice president of network and schedule planning. “We are excited to continue growing our network to the region with more flights this winter to the Caribbean and Latin America than any other U.S. carrier ever.”
