Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has appointed Chris Watson as its new director of sales and marketing. Watson has been with Hyatt for more than 20 years and officially joined the Baha Mar team on Sept. 2.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the Baha Mar team,” said Peter McMahon, managing director at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. “His wealth of experience and passion for luxury hospitality will help us reach new heights as we move into the year ahead.”

Previously, Watson served as the area vice president for field sales at Hyatt, where he led sales teams for more than 300 hotels in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Before that role, he was regional vice president of sales with the Hyatt Sales Force, overseeing more than 30 global sales directors.

Watson began his career with on-property roles at Hyatt Regency Dallas and Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Now, at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, he will lead the on-property sales and marketing teams for the 1,800-plus-room resort that is known for its robust dining, casino, and family-friendly experiences in Nassau, Bahamas.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredible colleagues who share a passion for excellence, collaboration, and creating memorable experiences for our guests,” Watson said. “I look forward to bringing that same competitive spirit and team-driven approach to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar as we continue to build on the resort’s success and position it as one of the premier destinations in the Caribbean.”
