JW Marriott this week celebrated the opening of its newest addition, the JW Marriott Goa, Marriott’s 150th opening in South Asia and first in Goa.
The hotel, which is just over 16 miles from the new Mopa Airport and just under 27 miles from Goa International Airport, debuts with 151 rooms inspired by the culture and traditions of Goa. Each room features local artifacts such as wooden paneling, glassware chandeliers, and water fountains, along with balconies with ocean views, while each suite features its own private plunge pools.
For food and drink, JW Marriott Goa offers JW Kitchen, an all-day eatery with a theater-style open kitchen that serves a globally-inspired meu; Pérola, a French-style lobby bar that serves afternoon tea and signature coffees; Água Bar and Café atop the hotel; and Heliconia, an Asian-inspired fine dining restaurant.
The hotel also includes the signature Spa by JW, which features the city’s first and only Turkish and Moroccan hammams, and a JW fitness hotel gym. Outside, JW Marriott Goa also offers its own infinity pool with poolside cabins.
The hotel isn’t far from the coastline of Vagator, and close to the iconic Chapora fort and Chapora and Vagator beaches.
“JW Marriott is at the forefront of the evolution of luxury, blending a legacy of extraordinary hospitality with a contemporary commitment to mindfulness and well-being that continues to be a priority for today’s luxury traveler,” said Bruce Rohr, Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott.
“JW Marriott Goa embodies this modern approach to luxury through its thoughtful design, emphasis on serene spaces and connection to the natural world.”
