Another travel company is doing what it can to aid rescue efforts in Turkey and Syria.

Collette on Monday announced it was joining the humanitarian effort that is aimed at helping the hundreds of thousands of people injured by

The tour operator is supporting efforts through The Collette Foundation, with direct contributions to a number of charity organizations including World Central Kitchen, which gives fresh meals to those who need them the most, and Direct Relief, which focuses on supporting search and rescue efforts in the near term.

“Our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria,” said Dan Sulivan, Chief Executive Officer at Collette.

“We’re thankful that we’re able to make contributions to the relief efforts through the Collette Foundation. Both ‘Word Central Kitchen’ and ‘Direct Relief’ have been doing and continue to do great work to help those affected by this disaster.”

As of Feb. 13, one week since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck, over 36,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands more injured.

Intrepid, which has a long history with Turkey and currently operates 30 tours with 25 local team members in the country, has also launched humanitarian efforts. The tour operator said it will match all donations to the Turkiye and Syria Earthquake Appeal up to $100,000 AU and will donate all profits made on bookings to Turkey through April 30.
