Air Canada Suspends Dubai and Tel Aviv Flights Until March 23

Air Canada A321XLR.

Air Canada has suspended all flights to and from Dubai (DXB) and Tel Aviv (TLV) due to the military situation in the Middle East, and will restart on March 23, 2026.

The airline made the announcement Monday afternoon on its website.

For those travellers whose flight is not affected, but would like to change their flight, voluntary changes are allowed if the Air Canada ticket was purchased no later than February 28 for travel to, from or through one of the following airports:

Abu Dhabi (AUH), Amman (AMM), Beirut (BEY), Dammam (DMM), Dubai (DXB), Erbil (EBL) and Tel Aviv (TLV).

The airline is encouraging all customers to regularly review official government travel advisories, as conditions and guidance can change at any time. Air Canada is closely monitoring developments in the region and will contact travellers directly by email and text message with details about rebooking options and next steps.

The U.S and Israel launched military strikes on Iran over the weekend, killing Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and heightening instability across the Middle East, triggering widespread flight cancellations, airspace closures, and passenger disruption.

Airports across the Middle East — including Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Israel, and other Gulf states — have shut their airspace amid missile threats and retaliatory strikes. Hundreds of thousands of travellers are stranded worldwide as rerouted and cancelled services overwhelm airline customer services.

On Sunday, President Trump said the conflict could last “four weeks or so.”
