Air Transat’s New Toronto-Berlin Route Takes Flight With FAM

Air Transat, in partnership with Visit Berlin, hosted eight travel agencies and tour operators from Ontario on a familiarization trip to the German capital from July 6 to 11, 2025.

Eight travel agencies and tour operators from Ontario headed to Berlin earlier this month on a FAM celebrating the launch of Air Transat’s new exclusive nonstop route connecting Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Berlin Brandenburg (BER) airports.

Air Transat, in partnership with Visit Berlin, hosted partners from Flight Centre, Royal Scenic, Huntington Travel, BCD Travel, Jade Travel, Direct Travel, TravelBrands and All Seasons Travel in the German capital. The jam-packed itinerary featured fine dining at the TV Tower and Humboldt Forum, visits to acclaimed museums like the Feuerle Collection, and guided tours exploring the city’s baroque architecture, Jewish history, Cold War legacy and much more.

“At Air Transat, we’ve always championed the transformative power of travel. This holds particularly true today, as we provide the only non-stop service from Canada to Berlin, a journey enhanced by our acclaimed in-flight service—recognized by Skytrax as the World’s Best Leisure Airline for the seventh time,” explained Laura Albrow, Account Manager at Air Transat, who also traveled with the group.

“Bringing these travel experts to the German capital allowed them to truly grasp the city, renowned for its complex history, authenticity, and inspiring urban experiences. We believe this firsthand insight fully equipped and enabled them to confidently craft and sell unforgettable Berlin vacations to their clients.”

The highly anticipated Toronto-Berlin route operates twice weekly through October with the Airbus A321LR, an aircraft known for its efficiency. Thanks to Air Transat’s joint venture with Porter Airlines, this new route provides seamless connections to and from major Canadian cities, including Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax.
